The Basketball Camp strives to develop and improve fundamental basketball skills as well as to teach the broader benefits of the game: sportsmanship and fun. We provide professional instruction, personal attention, and an atmosphere conducive to learning.

At A Glance

Who: Boys ages 7-15
Where: On the campus of Yale University, Payne Whitney Gymnasium and the Lanman Center.
Campers must enter through Payne Whitney Gymnasium. SEE MAP BELOW.
When: Two sessions - June 24-28, 2019 or August 5–9, 2019.
Time: 8:30–4:30 Monday–Thursday; 8:30–12 Friday

  • Motivational Lectures Subjects include off-season training; improving self-confidence; the value of positive attitude; goal setting.

  • Personal Attention Player/Coach ratio of 8:1; campers grouped by age, size, and ability.

A health form will be sent to each camper following receipt of an application and tuition. This form must be completed by the parent and the participant’s physician and received prior to camp. The medical form must contain insurance company name and policy number. A trainer will be available at camp; more serious illness or injury will be referred to Yale-New Haven Hospital.





The Colonel Lanman Center is one of the finest indoor practice facilities in the country. This $26 million state-of-the-art, air-conditioned gym features four full-length basketball courts with more than 20 baskets and an indoor running track.

Camper drop-off and pickup will be at Payne Whitney Gym.





After program acceptance, refunds made will be less a $50 administrative fee provided notification is received no later than 20 days prior to the start of camp.
